Privacy policy & terms of use

Last updated 1 April 2026. The short version: we collect as little data as we can, we never sell it, and you can leave with all of it any time.

1. Who we are

healthyfood.org is published by Greenhouse Editorial Co. Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 07412338) at 34 Whiteladies Road, Bristol BS8 2LX. Our data-protection contact is privacy@healthyfood.org.

2. What we collect

When you create an account we store your name, email address, and a hashed password. If you subscribe, our payment provider (Stripe) processes your card; we receive only the last four digits and the country of issue. We also collect minimal analytics (pages viewed, device type, country) using a self-hosted, cookie-free analytics tool.

3. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising cookies or trackers, and we don't run Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or similar.

4. Email

If you opt in to the newsletter we send the topics you've chosen and nothing else. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. We don't share your email address with anyone, ever.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@healthyfood.org and we'll respond within 30 days.

6. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

7. Terms of use

You may save, print and share recipes for personal, non-commercial use. Republishing our recipes or articles in full requires written permission — write to editors@healthyfood.org.

Our content is provided for general information and isn't a substitute for medical advice. If you have a medical condition, please consult a clinician before changing your diet.

8. Changes

If we make a material change to this policy we'll email subscribers at least 14 days before it takes effect.
